We collect only what we need to quote, book and complete your repair and to keep you informed about it. That may include your name, phone number and email address, your address, your vehicle details and registration, details and photographs of the damage, your insurer, policy and claim details, and payment or invoicing details. If you contact us through the website enquiry form, we collect the information you enter there.
How we use your information
We use it to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, carry out and warrant repairs, order parts and glass, lodge and manage insurance claims on your behalf, arrange calibration and testing, issue invoices, and keep records of the work performed. We may also contact you about your vehicle while it is with us, or afterwards regarding the repair.
Who we share it with
We disclose your information only where it is needed to complete your repair, or where the law requires it. That may include your insurer or their assessor, O’Brien Glass, parts and paint suppliers, towing operators, sub-contracted specialists, and our accounting or IT service providers. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not disclose it overseas other than through standard cloud services used to run the business.
Photographs of your vehicle
We photograph vehicles before, during and after repair as part of our normal quality and claim records. We will not publish photographs of your vehicle on our website or social media in a way that identifies you or shows your registration without your permission.
Storage and security
Your information is held in our workshop management and accounting systems and, where relevant, in paper job files. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including restricted access, secure premises and password-protected systems. We keep records for as long as required for warranty, insurance and legal purposes, then destroy or de-identify them.
